Workers fight Against Past-it PCs

If you’re sick of getting into work early just so your computer boots up in time, then you’re not alone, according to a survey from Mozy.

The computer company surveyed workers in office space in London and the rest of the UK, as well as staff in French and German offices, to find that over a quarter of workers believed they were losing time because of poor computer equipment.

Workers in the UK are using equipment which is, on average, around five years old, and which crashes of loses data frequently.

Over a quarter of those surveyed said they believed that smashing a phone or laptop would be the best way of rectifying the problem by getting new equipment.

Touch Financial reports that companies can use money because of inefficiency.

Poorly-performing computer equipment is known to have an effect on staff morale and satisfaction, and it is well-known that dissatisfied staff are not as motivated as their satisfied counterparts.
